Who We Are

Gamechanger Films launched in 2013 as the first equity fund dedicated to financing feature films directed by women in order to address gender disparity in the film industry. In January 2020, veteran producer Effie T. Brown was named the new CEO of Gamechanger Films.

Brown is broadening the fund’s scope to include projects by and about people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, people of color and YES that includes men from underrepresented communities, as well.

Gamechanger Films is also expanding into television and digital content with a new, fully monetized development fund that will enable it to buy, option and develop IP for television,
streaming and digital platforms.

Alexa Rozansky | Coordinator

A Los Angeles native, Alexa Rozansky graduated from Boston University in 2019 with a BA in Film/TV and Psychology minor. After graduating, she moved back to LA to start her first full-time career in entertainment at Grandview, a literary and talent management company. As a literary assistant for 2 years, she was exposed to a vast roster of talented writers, playwrights, and filmmakers and had the opportunity to hone her skills providing notes and feedback. She has subsequently developed a strong affinity for outspoken female/BIPOC/LGBTQ voices, and is always on the lookout for talented up and coming writers and new IP. Alexa adores dark comedies, scintillating thrillers, and character-driven stories with identity at the forefront. She is thrilled to be Effie Brown’s assistant at Gamechanger Films where she is immersing herself in the world of producing. Outside of work, Alexa enjoys writing comedic essays, listening to live music, hiking with her Yorkiepoo, Luna, and exploring LA’s food scene.
